The main function of the Collector of Revenue's Office is to bill, collect and distribute more than $1.6 billion annually in

  • Personal Property Taxes
  • Real Estate Property Taxes
  • Railroad and Utility Taxes
  • Merchant's and Manufacturer's License Fees

The Collector provides these services for the 241 separate taxing authorities presiding over Saint Louis County’s communities and affairs.

In performing this function, the Collector combines and extends the tax rates adopted by the various taxing authorities to develop individual tax bills. This link will detail the tax rates adopted by each school district, and various County, municipal, fire and sewer districts.

Saint Louis County's numerous and overlapping taxing authorities create a complex taxing environment. The Collector provides a centralized process to efficiently manage the receipt and distribution of funds for most taxing jurisdictions within Saint Louis County.
