Auction and Auctioneers' Code Chapter 815
An Auctioneeris one who sells goods, merchandise, or property of any kind
at public or private auction for another person who receives any commission or
compensation of any kind, not including sales by the jurisdiction of any court
of any judicial judgment or order, or any foreclosure sale of real estate, not
merchandise or property of any kind, who himself conducts such sale.
Contact the License Division by phone or mail to request an Application for
Public Auctioneer License. Submit the completed application along with
$52.00 for one year and all information requested on the application.
An Auction Crieris an individual who sells or offers to sell by public
outcry to the highest bidder of any of the property in any building, street,
alley, or other place in unincorporated St. Louis County under a licensed
Auctioneer.
Contact the License Division to request an Application for Public Auction Crier
License. Submit the completed application, signed by the Auctioneer
Sponsor, along with $23.00 for one year, and all information requested on the
application.
Instructions For an Auctioneer or Auction Crier's
Application

The Auctioneer's application requires the Auctioneer's name, address, phone
number, race, sex, birth date, and social security number. A mailing address
may be supplied (if applicable) along with the name of the firm, corporation,
or association and address (if applicable.)
A basic Auctioneer history is required, (i.e., how long doing business in St.
Louis County, types of auctions conducted, general description of merchandise
to be sold, etc.) The fee is $52.00 for one year, check made payable to the
Director of Revenue St. Louis County.
The application must be signed and notarized.
A copy of the application will be submitted Police Records to conduct a police
records check before the application may be approved and a license issued.
The Auction Crier's application requires the auctioneer's name, address, and
phone number. A mailing address may be supplied (if applicable) along with the
name of the firm, corporation, or association and address (if applicable.)
A basic Auction Crier history is required, (i.e., how long doing business in
St. Louis County, types of auctions conducted, general description of
merchandise to be sold, etc.) An Auction Crier must be sponsored by a St. Louis
County Licensed Auctioneer, the name and address of whom must be supplied.

St. Louis County.
