Real Property Tax Sales

The Saint Louis County Collector of Revenue’s office conducts its annual real property tax sale on the fourth Monday in August.

All persons participating in the sale must register before making bids. Registration begins at 8:30 am on the day of the sale, in the office of the Collector of Revenue.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND WILL BE MADE TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER AT PUBLIC AUCTION.

First and Second Offering of Delinquent Lands and Lots

The following is a publication of lands and lots in the County of St. Louis, Missouri, upon which Tax Certificates are to be offered for sale in the County Council Chambers of the St. Louis County Government Center (First Floor, Administration Building, 41 S. Central Avenue; adjacent to the Courthouse) in Clayton in the County of St. Louis, State of Missouri, on Monday, August 25, 2014, at ten o'clock A.M. and continuing from day to day as indicated by the following publication and by the undersigned according to provisions of Chapter 140 R.S. Mo., 2000, supp. 2012, and any amendments thereto. This publication serves as a notice to anyone with a lease lien or claim on any of the listed properties of that person’s need to redeem their interest in the properties to avoid sale for taxes.

 The lands or lots are to be sold under the descriptions as listed. The amounts shown are due for each year plus cost **; represent the total amount of taxes, interest, penalties and expenses incidental to this sale. All sales are final. The Certificate of Purchase will be issued and delivered to the purchasers.

 The lands or lots to be offered are as follows: (listing is referenced by Locator Number). "The Supreme Court of Missouri" has determined that deeds of trust, mortgages and other security interests may not be extinguished by tax sales held pursuant to Chapter 140, R.S. Mo., 2000, supp. 2012, but instead may remain in full force and effect. The St. Louis County Collector of Revenue shall, upon this sale transfer only such interests as he, the Collector, possesses, and the Collector makes no warranties, guaranties, or other affirmations as to the title to be transferred by this sale.

** In compliance with section 140.150 RSMO, all parcels sold will have an additional fee of $30 added at the time of sale to cover the costs of recording the certificate of purchase.

Third Offering of Delinquent Lands and Lots

The following is a publication of lands and lots in the County of St. Louis, Missouri, upon which Tax Certificates are to be offered for sale to the highest bidder in the County Council Chambers of the St. Louis County Government Center (First Floor, 41 So. Central Avenue, Administration Building; adjacent to the Courthouse) in Clayton in the County of St. Louis, State of Missouri, Monday August 25, 2014, at ten o'clock A.M. and continuing from day to day as indicated by the following publication and by the undersigned according to the provisions of Chapter 140 R.S.Mo.,2000, supp. 2012, and any amendments thereto. This publication serves as a notice to anyone with a lease lien or claim on any of the listed properties of that person’s need to redeem their interest in the properties to avoid sale for taxes.

Any parcels that are offered, but not sold in the 3rd sale offerings during the Collector's annual tax sale, and are not actually bid upon by the county, are held by the Collector of Revenue as "Post Third Sale Offerings". The general public is invited to bid on these properties at any time outside of the tax sale.
